During this week of thanksgiving, we are reminded of the need to cultivate the practice of being thankful to God, no matter the circumstances we find ourselves in. Below are some key learning points from the Bible passage in Luke 17:11-19.
Key Learning Points:
- Because of His mercy, Jesus will go out of His way to bless us, so we should be thankful.
- Thankfulness is an act of worship and should be prompt and wholehearted.
- God is pleased when we worship Him in our expression of thanks to Him. In the case of the one leper who returned to give thanks, it yielded him an even greater reward than the others.
“Oh give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. For His mercy endures forever!” – Psalm 107:1
