Theme: Nehemiah: A Vessel of Restoration

Dear All,

Last Sunday, we explored Nehemiah’s love for God and for His people.

One of the key lessons is that a love for God’s word coupled with a ready attitude of obedience to His word are central to cultivating a love for God and for His people. This Sunday, our topic is: Pray and Act.

Key lessons should include that:

1.     No matter how God-centered our mission and ministry may be, God’s work must be done with God’s power. Prayer is how we marshal God’s power to accomplish His purposes.

2.     There is a time to pray and a time to act. That we have prayed extensively should not diminish our planning and preparing. We will pray as if all depended on it and plan and prepare as if all depended on our planning and preparation. Each must be done with boldness.

3.     We need to work together with other believers to fix the ruins we see around us in the church today. But each one of us can be the lynchpin for that rallying to take place

Please forgive me for the lateness of this outline
