Greetings in the Name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ!
Please find attached, the Bible Study Outline for this Sunday’s study on the topic “Prophecy Fulfilled” with scriptural reference from Matthew 1:18-25. In this study, we learn about three prophecies of Scripture which were fulfilled at Jesus’ birth, serving as a reminder to us that every word of God will come to pass. His promises toward us never fail.
Key Learning Points:
- Jesus’ birth into the house of David (through Joseph) is a fulfilment of God’s promise in Genesis 49:10.
- Jesus’ birth by a virgin is a fulfilment of a promise God made 700 years earlier through the prophet Isaiah in Isaiah 7:14.
- Jesus’ name Emmanuel is a fulfilment of God’s promise to be with us and walk among us in Leviticus 26:11-12 and John 1:14.
