Theme: Servant Leadership

Brethren,

I trust you are well.

As we continue with our quarter theme on Servant Leadership, we come to a critical aspect of servant leadership – Stewardship.

A quick look around will show many who parade as servant leaders. Yet, there is a gapping need for faithful stewardship in nearly every aspect of our national life. So, the topic this Sunday is an important one for us as individuals and as part of the Body of Christ in Lagos/Nigeria. Don’t miss it.

Key lessons are:

  1. As believers, God has given every one of us at least one spiritual or material gift. God expects us to use those gifts to do His will by caring for and serving one another in earnest love.
  2. Faithful stewards who work hard and are sober minded and prayerful will receive a rich commendation and blessing from God. But if we are wicked and slothful servants, then even that which we have will be taken from us.
  3. To be a faithful steward, I must be ready to lay aside my own agenda and focus on pursuing God’s agenda, just as Jesus Christ did.

May we be found to be faithful stewards of God’s gifts and grace.
