Theme: The Attributes of God
In continuation of our study on the series on the Attributes of God, we shall be looking at God’s Omniscient attribute. Please find attached the Bible study outline for Sunday 24th January for your reference.
KEY LEARNING POINTS
1. The Omniscient attribute of God means that He knows all things, even things that are yet to materialize. He has perfect knowledge of all things. He does not have to learn anything, and He has not forgotten anything. God does not have to reason things out, discover things, or learn them gradually. God’s knowledge is infinitely incomprehensible.
2. All the ways of men are bare before God that even our thoughts are words before Him. Because God knows all about us, when He says something futuristic about us, He is not making predictions like men would. Rather, He is simply stating a fact.
3. David found the idea that God knows him perfectly as something comforting. God’s knowledge is a precious blessing to God’s people. Because God loves us, such deep knowledge of us should help us realize that He knows the right time, place, or thing for each of us. God’s knowledge of us is a good thing for His children but should terrorize the wicked – Psalm 139:17-18. The fact that He knows every detail of our lives should strengthen our faith in Him.
