Theme: James: Faith in Action

Brethren,

I hope you had a great week? ANd that you have been blessed by this Quarter series on James- Faith in action.

We conclude the series with a look at the prayer of faith. The prayer of faith is a common notion among believers. But what is it really? How does it ‘work’? Join us this Sunday for more.

Key Takeaways include:

  1. God answers prayers prayed according to His will which is His word. So, a life of faith should be a life of prayer fueled by His word.
  2. Our lives can affect our prayers. Faith-backed prayer is prayer backed by a life of obedience to God’s word, lived by faith and not by sight. The prayers of a righteous man avails much.
  3. Though the Scripture says that the prayer of a righteous man has great power, we must remember that it is not the process, not the oil, not the elders but by the already finished works of Christ.   So, we do not have to do extraordinary things to have our prayers answered by God. We just need to abide in Him and let His word abide in us (Jn 15:7). Elijah was an ordinary man just like any one of us but his proclamation was from ‘God before whom I stand’ (1 Kings 17:1)

See attached outline for your further study and preparation.

Prayer without faith is useless.
